Hi we’re interested in purchasing Advanced Google Maps Plugin for WordPress. We wnat to display a collection of houses on a map. The houses would preferable be added as blog posts, each with a title, excerpt, image and text.
Is it possible to use your plugin to:
1) draw a polygon shaped marker on the map while editing a post
2) have a map display a collection of posts using these shapes
3) show the excerpt of the post-content in the infowindow?
I saw a demo called “DISPLAY POSTS ON GOOGLE MAPS”, but this one used regular markers instead of shapes.
Thanks in advance,
#1 Polygon Draw is possible in this plugin. (But at the same time draw polygon and editing posts is not possible). You need to create location posts first and then draw shapes by selecting the appropriate map. You can check this guide tutorial for drawing https://wpgmp.flippercode.com/docs/how-to-draw-in-google-maps/
#2 Yeah, you are able to display the content of a post on a map with drawing shapes
#3 Absolutely possible to display posts excerpt.
Thanks for the quick reply!
Regarding #1: Are location-posts a custom post-type created by the Advanced Google Maps Plugin? If so, can we add our own fields (for example 'square footage') to this post-type so that we can use it as a post-type for our house-items? Do you have a documentation link on what location posts are and what can be done with them?
Thanks in advance,
#1 Custom posts type is not created by Advanced Google Maps Plugin. You can use any custom posts create WordPress plugin or create it via WordPress functions. This plugin supports custom posts types very easily. You can easily create your own fields with the help of custom fields. You can check this guide tutorial to create your own custom fields https://wpgmp.flippercode.com/docs/how-to-show-post-infowindow-using-custom-field/
I hope it helps you. Please let me know if you have any doubt.
I am sorry this is not possible to display custom fields on infowindow by clicking on any draw shapes right now in this plugin.
