I couldn’t find this in your support but mention that it would come with a later release. How do you check if there is data custom data and if so display it and if not hide it.

Hello,
You mean where custom field data is present then it will show and where custom field data is blank it will hide? Please specify your issue in full details so i can give you suggestions related to it.

Sorry for the delay in responding. Yes for example I have a custom field for website address that if it isn't filled in for the location that it will not display on the info box. For example in the info box field I have something like below.

a href="{website}" target="_blank">Read More...

So if {website} is not present I want to hide that link.

ok, that mean any custom field is blank then it wont display at infowindow and where custom field value is inserted custom field will show. This is not possible in this plugin right now but its need plugin code customization. Please send us your wp admin details and ftp details at support@flippercode.com so we can implement it at your end.

Thank you for following up however this doesn't hide any of the formatting code if the value isn't there. I see that it puts in the code if the custom field is empty but doesn't hide the link where the custom value appears. The class "wpgmp-empty" should be written to the container span that wraps around the A link but is only putting it in the HREF part of the link. I have a "Testing Location" that has the empty custom field but the "Read More" link still appears on the map.

I've attached a screenshot of the rendered value from the inspect window and also from the field to edit the map location box, the highlighted text in the edit field is what needs to be hidden if the custom field is empty.

Thank you.

Hello,
I checked your setting and found 'Testing Location' is created by your add location and we worked to hide a custom field which is related to the posts where if any custom field is blank then it will not display and where custom field value is inserted data will be shown.

For example you can check in listings where custom field are availabe where "website" custom field is shown and where custom field is not available website custom field is not displaying.

Thanks

Thank you for the follow up but I'm referring to the info box that is within the Google map and not the listing info below the map as in your image. The content edit box in the image that I posted is from the "Infowindow Message" when you edit the map. As in the image with this post that I've highlighted I wish the "Read More..." link to be hidden in the Google Map info window if the custom filed is empty.

Thank you but this update just goes back to the default and what I've been trying to avoid. I don't want to have the client put in a bunch of HTML in the "website" custom field (or any field for that matter) but just a value. All CSS and HTML I want to control and edit in one location and that is the "Infowindow Message" field on the edit map page.

I'm looking to create a simple IF statement in the Infowindow Message field to check if there is a value in a custom field value. So for example..

[IF EXISTS {website}]

some HTML and CSS stuff here

[/IF]

This way if {website} is present it would display the code that I've put in the Infowindow Message field, if not then it will not be displayed. You were working with another person on a ticket just like this https://www.flippercode.com/question/check-if-custom-fields-have-data-or-not/ but didn't see any follow up.

I've updated the map and locations back to the format that I had them.

Hello,
I am sorry this is not possible, you have to insert full html codes in your website extra field then it is possible to hide and you need to insert only custom field placeholder like {%website%} on infowindow settings otherwise this not possible.

We have applied same method on your site like we did on here https://www.flippercode.com/question/check-if-custom-fields-have-data-or-not/

Thanks

I'm highly disappointed to hear that and pretty much makes this feature COMPLETELY useless to me and part of the reason I got this plugin in the first place. I cannot expect my client or their customers to put in HTML code for these fields and then forbid that something needs to change and all those HTML inputs would have to be updated. In the future there could be hundreds if not thousands of records.

This should be a basic part of any custom field so is this something that is to come soon? If not I'm going to have to program something to make this work. Now I have to put off the launch of this even farther now until I can get this programmed.

We are sorry for your all inconvenience you had but we have applied all necessary methods to hide custom fields and extra field and we also mention you everything and implement all changes at your end.

This is not possible to hide extra field without insert complete html codes.

Thanks

So, based on your answer, this is not something that is coming or even considering? Just been working at this with you for a month now and basically just back to where it was started. Very frustrating and a huge waste of time for me and my client; just saw some good potential in using this plugin on their site with the custom fields but if everything is going to be mandatory with HTML code then not worth it.

Thank you for your time.

No, that's not mean as you think, we already considered it and noted on our to-do list. If you are not satisfied with the product you can request for a refund. We will not ask you a single question. Customer satisfaction is our motto. We tried our level best at your end.

Thank you very much for your time.
