Hi, I’ve tried [put_wpgm id=1 category=”word”] and [put_wpgm id=1 category=1] and neither method works. the only way i can get a location to be included on the map is to checkmark the location in the map settings. i would like for the location to automatically be included on the map by assigning a category to the location. thanks.
No, this is not possible in this plugin, you have to assign a location on a map which you want to display on a map. Those location which is not assigned will not display on a map/
Have you assigned category "word" locations on your map. If locations are not assigned then it wont display on a map.
To display a created location on a map, you have to assign created location on an add/manage map otherwise this is not possible to display locations on a map.
You can only add a category to the map with the help of locations because categories are already assigned to the locations and this is also possible some users dont want categories to their location on a map. I hope you understand it.
Without assign location on a map this is not possible to display locations on a frontend.
As long as the category has been created actually within the plugin it can be assigned to the map through the [put_wpgm id=1 category=”word”].
One thing to note - it doesn't seem to like capital letters - so if you called the category "Portfolio" in the code you put [put_wpgm id=1 category=”portfolio”] and it will pick it up and display it correctly.
Hope this help.
Yes, locations should be assigned to a map which categories you like to display on a map. You can use single quotes also there will be no issue.
